Course Details

This training course is based on the National Unit of Competency RIISAM204D: Use Small Plant & Equipment. This course covers the use of small plant and equipment in the resources and infrastructure industries. It includes

• Planning and preparing for work
• Selecting and using the correct small plant and equipment  for the job &
• Cleaning up.

This unit is appropriate for those working in operational, service and maintenance roles, at worksites within: 

• Civil construction. 
• Coal mining.
• Extractive industries.
• Metalliferous mining.

What Small Plant & Equipment can I be trained in? 

Qualification

Successful students receive a Statement of Attainment for Use Small Plant & Equipment which is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
