Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that allows the competencies and skills you already have to be recognised regardless of how you obtained them. These might include skills you have picked up on the job or from another life experience you may have encountered which does not necessarily include formal training.
Recognition of Prior Learning suits people who have industry experience relevant to -
RPL could provide you with a full or part qualification and avoid duplication of training such as logbooks. It could be used to identify what training you may need to complete a qualification or could provide a quicker pathway to higher qualifications. In the majority of the cases RPL will qualify you for the off-the-job component of the course or unit. You may also still need to complete the on-the-job component at your worksite, depending on the situation.
Cost and duration will depend on the evidence of learning you have already received, how many people in the group (or by yourself) and how many difference assessments will need to be completed.
