SITSS00048 Espresso Machine Operation

This short course will teach you how to make the best machine espresso coffee around - the coffee that people queue for and, ensures an appreciative and loyal clientele. You'll also learn all about customer service and hygiene standards for a professional operation.





Entry Requirements

  • 16 years + (parental consent required if under 18).
  • Mature age students
  • RPL if able to demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Access to a computer with word processing, PDF reader capabilities and an internet connection
  • A good command of written English
  • Ability to allocate appropriate study hours per week

Target Group

This skill set is for espresso machine operators who prepare and sell espresso coffee beverages in cafés, restaurants, bars, clubs, and function and event venues.



All students who are competent in SITS00048 Espresso Machine Operation will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.



Achievement of these units provides credit towards qualifications in tourism, travel, hospitality, events, holiday parks and resorts in the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.
